Milan football has a new opponent!

For the first time in decades, the Milan football team gets to play a team other than Carleton Airport or Chelsea in the playoff opener. This Friday they play Adrian at Maple Stadium.

All in all, it's still an equally tough opponent and the Big Reds will have their hands full, but something new is always fun. At the very least it gives both teams a clean slate, which come playoff time is one of the best advantages you can have. There are no mental hangups and no previous games looming over your shoulder. It's just clean, fair football.

The downside is that because Adrian is new, there will be a lot of things that the Maples do that the Big Reds aren't used to seeing. Also Adrian is somewhat like Carleton Airport in that going to the air isn't a problem. They can mix it up. The two schools look fairly evenly matched when it comes to size, however.

Stay tuned for results... they will go up Friday night after the game.
