Where has the time gone?

Where has the time gone? I'm always amazed at how quickly the prep football season goes by. Wasn't it just yesterday that Dexter was shutting out Garden City and Chelsea topping Ann Arbor Huron in each school's season opener?

Well, tomorrow we close the regular season. Dexter is 2-6 heading into its last game. The Dreadnaughts have to travel north to face Saginaw Swan Valley. Saginaw who? The Vikings are no pushover. With a record of 7-1 and a No. 5 state ranking in Division 5, Swan Valley will be a tough match up for Dexter.

Chelsea, on the other hand, is 6-2 as it prepares to host Saline tomorrow. The Bulldogs, win or lose, have qualified for the state playoffs for the 11th consecutive year. Though the Hornets (3-5) have one of the state's best quarterbacks in Joe Boisture (Michigan State commit), they haven't been able to turn the corner this season. The Chelsea-Saline rivalry goes way back, so despite the overall records, the game should still be a hard-hitting, intense contest.
